1. Members’ Monthly Meeting: The next CHAA members' meeting will be held this Saturday, January 15 from 10AM to Noon. Hope to see you there. Upcoming Saturday meeting dates include: February 19 and March 19, 2011.

Reminder to all who have not sent in their 2011 renewal - If you have not already renewed, (and a very special thanks to the 250 current members who have already renewed) March 1 is quickly approaching and your name will be removed from all membership listings if payment not received prior to March 1. Many who have renewed will not have received your 2011 sticker -- it will be mailed with the next issue of the ROAR OF THE HARVARD. In December gift certificates were issued to 21 new members who will be having their flights during the 2011 flying season. Welcome to all. Congratulations to our newest Life Member, Martha Wadsworth of Geneseo, New York.

3. Bingo is an important CHAA fundraiser and is held from 5pm to 10pm at a hall in London. If you are able to volunteer, please call Torben Haarbye at 519-679-1733 for all the details. The 2011 Bingo dates are: January 30, March 3, May 2, June 3 and September 11. Mark these on your calendar, call Torben and plan to help.

4. 2011 CHAA Calendars are available at $10 each through CHAA Stores at the Tillsonburg hangars and in Kitchener at KW Surplus and the Spitfire Emporium. 5a. CHAA’s 2011 Annual Banquet -- Saturday, April 23 -- Royal Canadian Legion, Woodstock ON

5b. Guest Speaker: Dave O’Malley who is communications manager for Vintage Wings of Canada and writes their monthly column “Vintage News”.

FYI: Thanks to the membership, over $42, 000 has been raised for CHAA through these auctions since they began in 2003! Isn’t that amazing? If you have items to donate, contact Marg or Sandra today.

6. CHAA's 2010-2011 Mailout Fundraiser to date has realized $25, 549.37 for CHAA! Our committee is truly thankful for this amount, and funds continue to be received! These donations (and those to come for this fundraiser) will be used toward the next payment due on Harvard C-FWLH.

7. Due to extreme weather conditions, the official opening and CHAA flypast for the Hale Street and Trafalgar Street CN Overpass in London ON, which is being named in recognition of Honorary Colonel Charles “Charley” Fox, did not take place in December 2010. Instead it has been rescheduled for spring 2011; the new date will be posted on our website when it is known.
