Plan now for a great 2012 flying season!

a. The Member Fly Days have been scheduled for the following Saturdays:  May 19th, June 30th, July 21st, August 18th and September 15th (Wings and Wheels).  Be sure to let your friends and family know about those dates and let's see if we can tire out some pilots by having lots of Crew Rides for both the Harvards and the Tiger Moth!

b. Already booked for this season during the month of June are formation demonstrations at Kitchener Waterloo (June 2 & 3), Base Borden (June 9 & 10) and at the COPA Convention in Hanover (June 23).  The COPA Convention event is the annual national convention and will provide a great opportunity to showcase CHAA to aviation enthusiasts from all across Canada.

c. On the pilot front, we are readying our Pilot Refresher Day for March, 3rd and we will be inducting a new batch of potential Harvard pilots during our two day Harvard Ground School slated for March 31/April 1st.  We will be having a Tiger Moth Ground School sometime in early May.

d. If you are looking for something to do on a nice Sunday this flying season, head out to the Tillsonburg airport.  In addition to our regular Saturday flying, we are going to try to get more Sunday flying done this season.  So if you know of someone who would enjoy a Crew Ride on a Sunday, give him or her a call!

9. We are looking for someone to take on the volunteer jobs presently being done by CHAA Member, Wayne Chuter.  These include selling 50/50 tickets at monthly meetings and managing our Fairwell Flight Fund.  Wayne has relocated to Goderich and is finding with new commitments there and the travel, it would be better if others took on these jobs.  If you are interested in knowing more, contact Sandra at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
