The Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association has a number of areas where volunteers offer their time, skill and dedication.

Board of Directors

As a registered charitable organization, the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association has Board of Directors who meet monthly to review operations, set goals and execute activities in order to maximize CHAA’s success.

Service Crew

Our Service Crew operates as a team to provide ground and logistical support to the aircraft and pilots of the organization. Whether operating from our home base or on away missions, the team demonstrates professionalism, showmanship and technical competency.

Maintenance Crew

The Maintenance team is one of the most demanding, yet most appreciated part of our organization. Without them our aircraft would not maintain flying condition. Our dedicated volunteers conduct regular maintenance, repairs and mandated inspections throughout the year on our entire fleet of aircraft while working under the supervision of a licensed aircraft maintenance engineer (AME).

Flight Operations Crew

Flight Ops are our pilots. Each one of them has extensive flight experience including many tail-dragger hours – which our Harvards are categorized as. Our pilots come from a number of aviation backgrounds, including general aviation pilots and commercial airline pilots.

If you are an experienced pilot and interested in flying with us, let us know. While there is specific criteria you need to meet, we’ll let you know what that is so you can begin working towards it. One day you may get to take the controls of a beautiful, historic Harvard.

Restoration Crew

Our Restoration team works meticulously and tirelessly to bring seemingly unairworthy aircraft back to life. They work alongside many members who provide research, recovery and archival information to guide the aircrafts’ restoration back to airworthy condition. Team members are dedicated volunteers who are committed to re-constructing aircraft and preserving the history of Canada, the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP).

We are always looking for more volunteers. If you wish to get involved, please reach out to us at info@harvards.com.  Aviation experience not required – there are tasks for everyone!
