May 12, 2025: Already a big draw, the Stratford Airport Family Pancake Breakfast is returning next month with a couple of new additions.
Sponsored by the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association (COPA) Chapter 69, the day will feature a chance to ride on a North American Harvard, a well-known training aircraft from the Second World War, presented by the Tillsonburg-based Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association. The Edenvale Classic Aircraft Foundation will also be sending two Second World War-era planes.
For the fly-in, or drive-in, breakfast, set for June 1, getting these additions to the already popular day is a “big deal,” said David Caswell, the co-captain of COPA 69.
“Airports across Ontario vie for these planes to come up. We sent the invitation out before Christmas, and they get quite a number of requests. We’re very thankful that they decided to offer their rides to us this year,” he said.
