I was first introduced to the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association (CHAA) during the 2024 Wheels and Wheels Family Fun Day where I was privileged to see first hand a restored Harvard training aircraft. A few months later during a Tillsonburg District Chamber of Commerce After 5 Business meeting I sat in a Harvard and learned how to adjust both its wing flaps and rear rudder. The Harvard aircraft were instrumental to preparing pilots to fight by air in WWII which is why I am grateful to support the association by re-designing and managing their website. To celebrate everything Harvard, my wife Stella Jurgen (the resident mural painter in the Tillsonburg Regional Airport) and I decided to make a pilgrimage to the Canada Aviation and Space Museum in Ottawa where we could see another beautifully restored Harvard aircraft.

The visit Canada Aviation and Space Museum also allowed us to appreciate other WWII aircraft that played a significant role in the Allied victory.

The Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association plays a significant role in preserving a part of Canadian history through the restoration and the flight tours offered by the Harvard aircraft. I encourage anyone that wants to experience the Harvard aircraft up close to visit the aircraft association in Tillsonburg. Visit the Event Calendar to learn more about upcoming events.
