June 2, 2025: The annual Stratford Airport Family Pancake Breakfast on Sunday raised thousands of dollars for the Stratford General Hospital Foundation. It also gave hundreds of guests a glimpse of some classic planes, including the popular North American Harvard, a well-known training aircraft from the Second World War.
The bright yellow North American Harvards, presented by the Tillsonburg-based Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association, were a hit at the Stratford Airport Family Pancake Breakfast.
Dozens of planes took to the sky during Sunday’s Stratford Airport Family Pancake Breakfast.
Glen Mair, who co-owns the Van’s RV-6 plane with Hella Comat, moves the aircraft after landing at the Stratford airport.

Craig Wesson, left, and Ed Das, members of the Perth County Flying Club, cooked several pounds of peameal bacon on Sunday for the annual Stratford Airport Family Pancake Breakfast. More than 700 guests — a record — had breakfast at the event, which has been held for more than a decade. Money raised supports the Stratford General Hospital Foundation, though it will take a few days to calculate the final tally.
